Reindeer In Palmer,AK

We made plans to meet 2 couples at the Reindeer Farm at 10:00 so Bill & Jan and Harry and myself jumped in the truck and headed down the road. Of course the weather is not working with us, rain and clouds all around us. I thought the tour would be canceled silly me and the others told me not a chance of that happening. I have to say tour guide very informative and we were all glad we did the tour. Some pictures for you to see. Next lunch out with our new friends they came from Florida Roger & Sharon and Robin & Janice we had a great time over lunch. We decided to cut the day short because of the rain it was so messy.

Palmer,Alaska

The day started out beautiful no rain yes. Our first stop Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Museum where we started with a video on the dogs and how they are trained and cared for.  What a great find this is so intresting next we stepped outside and go for a ride on the sled. Moving on we tried the Museum of Alaska Transportation & Industry we arrived and decided nope we didn't think this place would hold our attention so we moved on. We found a Farmers Market some produce and handcrafted items weather was beautiful and just being outside was great. Our final stop Wal-mart for a few items that were needed. And back to the rigs to make arrangments for 3 more nights we will be leaving Sunday morning.

Elk's lodge in Palmer

Since the last blog we have been in Hope,Ak where Harry and Bill did some gold panning and had a great time even picked up some gold to take home. We stayed RV park with weak signal so no blog that night. The next morning off to Seward about a 100 miles away. Went and did some sight seeing and checked out the Sealife Center that was a must see up close and personal with the Sealions at the aquarium. We stayed just outside of Seward in a nice RV park next to a creek we could hear the water running from our rigs. Our kids checked in and wished their dad Happy Fathers Day for Bill and Harry it was a nice easy day. We put our heads together once again and decided We would head down to Palmer for the Elk's Lodge for a couple of days again right next to the water we are doing really well right now staying near water. We will check out Visitors Center tomorrow see what going on this week around here and decide how long we will be here.
