Last day of Whitehorse

We went through 3 museums got our passports stamped. The MacBride Museum was great. The Fishladder could have been better we were just too early they had just opened the ladder and the fish hadn't started going through it yet and the Copperbelt Railway & Mining Museum is one I don't need to see again it was a big let down for me. I felt it was for kids.
So now we were off to checkout MARK'S department store. Harry needs rubber boots but no luck so next Canadian Tire which is also a nice department store again no luck. Now we are all ready for lunch we decided on a place called The Deli this was really good we had split pea soup and cheese sandwiches. Bill and Jan had sauerkraut and sausage and a greek salad theirs looked yummy and Jan said it was yummy. We came back to RV park relaxed for a bit then the guys started fueling the trucks for in the morning when we leave heading to Haines Junction.

Oh and we seen this beautiful eagle today.

Whitehorse 2nd day

We are in Whitehorse for the 2nd day I like it. I guess I am a city girl. Today we all jumped into the truck Harry took the wheel and off we went, 1st stop Yukon Visitor Information Center for parking pass and we were off to 2nd stop Yukon Transportation Museum. This place had aircrafts, train car and other RR items. Vehiclesl tlhat helped build wartime Alaska Highway. Really enjoyed the guided tour. Also seen tlhe world's largest weather vane it turns out to be a DC-3 passenger plane mounted on a pedestal at the Whitehorse International Airport.
Next door Yukon Beringia Interpretive Center where we quickly got to see a film on ice age woolly mammoths and more animals most impressvie for was demo on using arrows to hunt with back in ice age. Wow enough of museum for the day. It's ok there will be more tomarrow. Off to grocery store in Canada it's the Super Store it was great it had just about everything we needed and more. Bill & Jan and Harry and I are tired and hungry so back to Pioneer rv park. We will be up and at it in the morning to get a few more museum in, oh and fill our Explore's passport book with more stamps this is something the Yukon is doing to promote tourism.

I guess the ground was to cold for Boo Boo I looked out and seen she got on the table on her own.

I am still here

I have had trouble getting my blog out there. I have a new app to use for when we have no Wi-Fi ( Open Live Writer) was an option. However things didn’t go so smooth for me. I had Jan Mains to help me out and it looks like I might be back on track again. Watson Lake blog is lost in space. We have been to Teslin,Carcross,Skagway and today we are in Whitehorse. What a great day a good size town Jan and I were able to get haircuts and I was able to get nails done. we went to out door market for produce and no luck so we went for dinner at a place called Earls and the food was very good. Then to Walmart for veggies again no luck so maybe Friday will be better for veggies at a grocery store. Weather is cool breezy with a few sprinkles but a good day.

Laird Hot Springs 2

We were at Laird Hot Springs for 4 days. We had a great time we went to the hot springs everyday that we were there. Met alot of great people. Had happy hour each day. We came together for dinner with the Lucy Goose group for some great mexican stew that Mark Nemeth made. Went out for breakfast at the Laird Hot Springs lodge with Bill & Jan also Briggs and Ann who we just met . Bill & Jan were'nt entertained with a squirrel that got on board there 5th wheel by now we are sure it got off. BooBoo seemed to have a good time watching squirrels go up the tree and run through our camp. Here are some pictures of the 4 days.
