Riverboat tour

Backing up here a bit.  Jan and I  started  the day doing laundry then played more rummikub with the guys. We were wanting a late lunch in preparations for riverboat ride at 6:30 pm. After lunch we went up the street to get some Pictures of Denali which had been suggested by the tour ladies when we purchased Riverboat tickets. Some will be added for you to see. So when we got back we took longer and expected so we had to get ready fast. On the road in plenty of time hum even a little early. Tour was great and tour guide was very well informed about fish in the river and the diffrent species. We seen a bald eagle and we took a stroll to see a mock village along the river. We got back late as the cruise lasted longer a little longer than we expected.
Then this morning Harry and I went to town to take care of a few things and pick up a few things in Palmer,AZ. Yep we just came from there we just didn't take care of everything. We did get back to meet Bill & Jan for lunch/dinner at Trapper RV Park. Tomorrow we move on down the road.
this is Denali.

Booboo said I'm tired and need some water NOW.

here is the boat we went out on.

this Eagle was on a island about 1/4 mile from the boat.

when this cabin was built it was 75 yards from the river most of the erosion to the bank was caused by Ice.

Salmon will head up and over the rocks in this small inlet during the spawn !

Jan broke out the rummikub game and it was on but not for long 3 hands and park host came by and said he was ready for us. Jan, Bill and Harry won and I am just sure the next hand was going to be mine. So we got parked had a bite for lunch and headed down Talkeetna to check out cruises this little town was billowing with tourist so we lined up a cruise and got out of there. I have to say it was cute lots of stores with the weather being 67 degrees it was perfect for walking around. .Here are a few pictures of the day.

The day we have been waiting for the Alaska Scottish Highland games is here. We went with Bill,Jan and Glen,Marsha weather is looking great at high of 68 degrees for the day. Events were stretched out for a bit so after a while we decided to go get lunch at the Noisy Goose and sit down for a while. Lunch was great we really went to check out the pie and we did leave with lemon cream cheese pie and so delicious. Ok time to get back to the highland games across the street. Weather is still holding up stayed till about a couple more hours. We headed back so we could start making plans for tomorrow when we leave the Elk's Lodge. When we got back there was an event going on at the lodge for the handicap or special needs they had these kids on boats, jet ski's and kayaks they looked they were having the best time. What a great day everyone seemed to be having the best time.
