Lost in Minnesota

We left 8:00 am and drove to Albert Lea, MN but quickly changed our mind on staying there cause it was to far from freeway so ended up at Austin KOA which was right off the 90 interstate. First thing we met this couple which I don't remember there names were staying at the park. They have alot of illness going on her mother and her husband both terminal. They chatted a while, fun people gave us a run down on good places to eat and some history of Austin minnesota . Staying at this park was a get away for them. They recomended Trails which is a truck stop and it has also a great gift shop really nice and great food. After lunch we came back and played Rummikub when and another couple came by Doug and Cindy  they intruduced their self they seen our licence plates from Arizona. Turns out their from Springerville, Az. This is their first year out they invited to stop by their home anytime. Nice evening.
Today we were on the road at 7:00 am went for about 3 hours and stopped at Elk's set up and went for lunch and had checked out this place called Georges Chile that we seen on TV's  Diner,Drive-Ins and Dives. We will be back worth the stop. Fueled up and went back Elks Lodge where Harry grilled a couple of steaks for dinner and a put a salad together and we were great for dinner, More tomorrow.

Corn Palace

Up and at it this morning we left the park at 8:00 am and were on the road to Mitchell, SD to stay at R/ R campground. Our 1st stop Wall Drug and it's worth the stop very intresting and worth the time. Our weather is warming up we seem to stay in the 80's and 90's which is really nice for a change. The 3 of us miss our traveling partners Boo is moping around and saying were's Bill and Jan. The R/R park is very nice we are parked next to the pool.  Next up we stopped and checked out the Corn palace yes its corny but fun to check out. Later we went out for dinner to Culver's a place we both like. When we got back I sat down and did a blog  as I went hit save it was lost before I made it. I am proud to say I decided to go back and redo the blog I hate to have go back and redo
anything.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

We are in Hermosa, SD staying  at Heartland RV Park. So far we have seen Mount Rushmore National Memorial going there was nice on the way back from the mountain it just poured down with hard rain it was so noisy Boo wanted in the front seat with us. When we woke up this morning and decided to go to Fort Hays Chuckwagon it was a diffrent place a cheap breakfast and very intresting to visit. We will be leaving in the morning next visit we will definitely plan on staying longer there is a lot to see here.

Back In The USA

We'er back! It's been awhile since I blogged I expect internet to be better back in the USA but truthfully its a gamble while traveling. Enough of that we have really been making tracks to get back to the border Sweetgrass, MT.We had a great time in Alaska and Canada and expect to go back in the future to see more. Thank you to the Loose Goosey group who we also traveled with, what a great time we all had. We arrived here 7/25 and Immediately started planning the where to now. Bill and Jan had plans to meet up with friends and family and Harry and I wanted to see more country so we parted ways for a couple weeks and the we will meet up again and go from there. We have pictures to highlight the past few days.
